Honestly? Parts of it are really good: Rogers gives a good overview of the era and a good account of those states directly connected to Former Qin in the north. And of course the actual translation of the Chronicle was good. However Rogers's conclusions about the battle of the Fei are just terrible. I would recommend the book for the better parts of the prolegomena and the translation, but not Prof. Rogers's theory on the Fei battle as a myth.
