Well, DaMo, maybe I should pose the question back at you. What do you think is attractive about me, since I don't seem to think that of myself?

I may not look like that in the pic, but I am rather dark-complexioned (not from sun-tanning, it's natural colour), and fair skin is prized among the Chinese. My eyes are small and heavy-lidded, and I am not particularly happy about my nose either.

So? :g:

Uhmm.. MKY, not to be critical about Singaporean chinese girls, but I think you certainly look pretty by Singaporean girl standard. Just some suggestion, if you can take away your spectacles, so as to remove the 'studious' look.. there would certainly be more guys pouring over you :)

I believe every girl is capable of being beautiful. The only problem is, not many girls know how to be beautiful. They might know how to appear beautiful physically but often fall far short on being truly beautiful people... and that in my mind, is a crime of nature.

You have nice hair and your face is very symmetrical. Don't take that for granted. There's nothing wrong with your face. I don't think you realize the assets you're working with. Lose the glasses and consult an expert on makeup. You've got very nice lips and should draw attention to them with color and motion. If you can learn to be expressive with your lips it'll make a huge difference. To me they're a better window to the soul than the eyes.

Please please don't wear black unless it's a cocktail dress.

Actually the dress i was wearing was a semiformal-thingey.

And, ehm, black is my favourite colour. Though I am not a lawyer, hahaha. :D

Are you by any chance a beauty consultant? :P

GZ, the very reason why I wear specs is to draw attention away from my eyes. I believe that with all the fashionable options available to us myopics, it really isn't difficult to find a pair that complements your face shape.

Talking about face shape, I been told that I have just the kind of face shape that is good for sunglasses ads. B)

No I'm not a beauty anything. But I know a woman in black never turned my head. It's too formal, makes women look dull and asexual. Which is just fine if you're a lawyer and want to be taken seriously. Maybe you're in a similiar line of work, but a lot of girls wear black because they're afraid to try happy colors, and instead they look sad and old without knowing it.

I once lunched with a woman with a daughter starting 9th grade. She told me she made an appointment with her girl to see a fashion consultant to figure out a set of looks for her highschool years. I was shocked. But now I think it's not such a bad idea. Those are important years for a girl. We men underestimate the impact those years have on girls socially and psychologically.

Trust me if you don't like your eyes don't hide them, draw attention to something else. Men are easy to distract as we like to focus on a few things. Do those well and we won't notice the rest. But I've never thought to myself, "her eyes are small, but at least she hides them well." Not that I think there's anything wrong with yours BTW.

Glasses never made anyone look better. Just because you have a face for them doesn't mean you should wear 'em. I'm pretty sure none of the professional eye glasses models wear 'em either. If you're used to them get some shades. Make sure its transparant enough so others can see your eyes. Rose colored shades are hot, and you can't wear outrageous shades when you're older. So experiment while you can.

MKY, it seems that you are attractive to Korean guys. There are many, many Singaporean girls who would go green with envy  :D

Yang Zongbao, aren't you going to do anything? Someone's trying to woo Mu Guiying!  ;)

Been doing some sly research on what Singaporean girls seem to dig now and you're right, Yun, that girls dig Korean actors. I can't name a single one except Song Seung-hyun and that's because he was in the movie starring Zhao Wei and Shu Qi. :haha:

He's cute. :D

Umm, well, you have nice hair, an elegant neck, clear skin, good facial proportions, a relatively strong (but not masculine) jawline - and I really do not see anything wrong with your nose. I can't see your eyes too well because of your glasses, but you do look good with glasses.

Gee thanks, DaMo, but despite your kind appraisal I still have a female's innate dissatisfaction with her looks. I guess this only ceases when the female in question gets a guy who tell her she looks beautiful even if she has no hair and rotting teeth and God knows what else. :D

Well, realistically speaking, if she can hear that through out her pregnancy and post-natal figure, most women would be satisfied. ;)
