I have often read Annie Wang's column that is published in the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong). I find her insight into modern China to be interesting.

I finally read her novel Lili - A Novel of Tiananmen. It is a fictional story set in Beijing during the 1980s, and culminates in the Tiananmen protests. I thought the book was good, but the ending was quite a letdown. Has anybody else read this book? What did you think?
