Exellant but not as far as the best. We are new and we lack a high number of members compaired to our "competiters". In time that will change, we are free of racism here (common on chinese boards nowadays), and we are in the middle not taking sides on political issues such as Taiwan independance. Our main site is under construstion but we are all working hard to provide content for it so it can grow large withing time.
In time we may become one of the best but we need to focus on the fundametals for now.

Despite the occasional bickering, generally caused by misunderstanding and/or difference in opinion, CHF is not only the best Chinese history forum but I would say it's the best forum in general, at least among the forums I visit.

I think it's really over... 
They lost quite a lot of information on their forums. That's years of discussion and input by hundreds of forumers gone down the drain, a shame indeed.

So far is this place is pretty good (dun think would not stay if it wasnt). Well you would not know what would happen in the future that would ruin everybody's experience.
But I would think a search function in here would be good. A problem with forums is that there are repeating topic threads, searching would help not much but abit. But once, the pages of thread starts to pile, it would be harder to look for topic threads.

What I like about this forum is that everyone here is generally decent and reasonably respectful of others. Disagreements are a fact of live in a forum. However, maybe I haven't been here long enough yet, but from what I've seen so far, the level of decorum in this forum far outclasses many other forums I've been in.
The two biggest things that turn me off participation in forums are disrespectful/combative forumites and high-handed/arrogant moderators. This forum is blessfully free of these and as such, very condusive to good solid discussions of history, culture and whatever else you may be chatting about.
Just like IG says, I wouldn't stay if it wasn't any good to be in. Keep it up!
