How do short guys (1.5m - 1.6m) get to know girls who are around the same height or taller than them?

I guess the normal way. "Hello, my name is ..... and nice to meet you." I know lots of shorter guys would feel uncomfortable with a taller girl. it all depends on you. I am about 1.70m and I had a close friend - guy about 1.56 or something. well he is certainly very much shorter than me, but hey, a friend is a friend. Height should not matter. Of course there are some girls who might not feel this way, but if the girl look more at your external than the person you are, the relationship is off on a uncomfortable start.

AFAIK, shorter guys who is not confident of their own appearance usually purchase tall girls. A collegue from HK, young guy was so happy that he was able to afford tall Russian girl in Shanghai. I still remember how proud he was afterward.

to pretend is wrong word...Most important thing is CONFIDENCE. If man is confident enough, any woman tall or short will follow him.

Also man's power, knowledge, talant can substitute any kind of physical shortage.

I was at a gathering a while ago and a guy was trying to pick up the girl. He was short and purposely stood on a step on a flight of stairs to hit on her. I don't want to be mean but it was pretty funny. He's obviously insecure about his shortness.

His parents don't like the woman he chooses; she's dark and not good looking and has a poor personality according to them. Unfortunately his daughter didn't acquire her height but her bad look. So the moral of the story is even if you try to change something like your offspring's height, it might not necessarily work.

Interesting comments on height of offsprings. Actually everyone care about height of offspring. I am sure his grandchildren will be TALL. Gene thing works always.

Well maybe not, it depends on under what circumstances you are meeting her.. in most instances, the above would be pretty useful and less threatening.

In the streets, shopping centres or MRT, it would really depend on what is going on - well then, be creative and confident of yourself. If you are really keen to get your girl, you will find you way, but please at the same time, don't behave like you have not seen a girl for a very long time... it is very, very frightening for most girls.

I do agree that some girls would be put off by your sudden appearance and may think you are little loco, but that is besides the point, if you don't try you would never know.

If confidence is lacking, then pretend you like you she's your best friend.

Here's what I do but I can't guarentee.

I sometimes pretend like I know the person, it gets them surprised. (some freak out and move away) Female or Male. Making friends or making lovers.
