The meanings perceived by you and me, are framed in a Template, aka the yin-yang Template ...

Very interesting link :) Quite difficulty to understand the philosophy behind it though :)

"夫君子之行:靜以修身,儉以養德;非淡泊無以明志,非寧靜無以致遠。" - 諸葛亮

One should seek serenity to cultivate the body, thriftiness to cultivate the morals. If you are not simple and frugal, your ambition will not sparkle. If you are not calm and cool, you will not reach far. - Zhugeliang

"..identifying how how stability is reached is often the key to predicting the future. If a situation is unstable ... you can predict the future course of events by figuring out what needs to happen to achieve stability. Understanding stability is a way of knowing where things are going" p 56 Siegfried, T., (2006) "A Beautiful Math : John Nash, Game Theory, and the Modern Quest for a Code of Nature" Joseph Henry Press

IOW - Predicting the future = Predicting stability

In figuring out how the I Ching 'works' we find correlation with how our brains work as they derive meaning. Thus we move from a 'divination' process that is reactive to one that is more proactive; realising of course that one's proactivity will come up against that of another/others such that what is considered 'inevitable' may not neccessarily be so! The form of consulation focuses on elements of the unconsious being stimulated by the context where context can 'push our buttons' - as such we know what is going on 'vaguely' but need to bring all of that into the light of day; to make it all seem a bit 'clearer' and so giving us choices in actions ...

IOW, your destiny is not "inevitable", most of the times, it is dictated by your choice and action. :)
