I refer to myself as an anarchist. I read and admire Chomsky's theories, and even though I know anarchy is only an utopianism, I think that "utopia is like the horizon: you can never reach it, but at it helps you keep walking".

Wow! Thank you, Tang Scholar!

I wonder where I would fit in? :g:

Your question means that you have not seen the following page, provided by Shaolin on January 8:
http://www.politicalcompass.org/
There you will find a statement saying that the usual cathegories for political leaning classification are incomplete, and also they will direct you to a test which, if you answer it, you will find where you will stand in the chart. So, Mok, go ahead, take the test and let us know!

Well done, dear Mok. Now, please see the chart with the addition of Dr. Pangloss and yourself.

I find there is a trend within CHF:
First, there is a wide group ranging from the area around the center (where you are), down to the libertarian left (where I am). And then, there is a small cluster of people in the "libertarian left".

I guess this may keep being so with more members taking the test.

Attached, the last additions to the CHF Political Compass Chart: GZ, MariusJ, Wan Ren Aka Dann and Polar Zen.

The current situation in CHF has put new life into this chart. Surprisingly, it was when this thread went sleeping that things started to warm up.
I was too inmersed in the Literature forum when the crisis arised, so I have been aware of it just on Dec. 28.
The last political chart, with GZ included, can be seen now as almost prophetic.

I took the test some took on the first pg of this thread:

http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

My results were:

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -2.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.56

So I'm basically a left leaning libertarian, but very close to centrist...I don't think this is shocking.

Why can one not be a Monarchist, and something else? Monarchy does not necessarily denote a political leaning, as those of us in the UK, New Zealand, Canada or Australia would attest. Monarchy is a structural system not a philosophical one.
