Could the Dragon be a way of representing domestication/training of Animals? if we go by this theory, could the Dragon represent 'the proper way', sort of like a Hieroglyphic shorthand for order?

I do not believe it would directly represent this view in the beginning, but the evolution of the dragon's meaning in Chinese culture may reflect this partially. The evidence indicates that it is the reverence and respect for the power of the male boar, and the importance of the pig in general that lead to the early representation and reverence of the pig.
