I've actually TRIED to use it, about eight times. I was always disappointed that no one else was there, though. The first times, I couldn't figure out how to get in, because of the request for a password.

Ok, I just tried it out. Everything seems to work but I was in there by myself. =P

When the chat room opens and you get the password request simply click 'cancel' then double click 'Member Chat' on the right and it should automatically enter you into the room. =)

So...why don't we make it a habit to check where people are, as chat does show up on the 'show members' thingie we all check out to see who's doing what. :P

Or, perhaps we can designate one day a week, like Sunday, to get people into the idea of sticking their toe in the water by stopping by.

Those are good options. We could also put in a simple statcounter for the Live Chat function and add it to the forum statistics in the index. This way everyone can see right away how many members are in chat.

There was a chat conversation of about 45 minutes between four members today actually =) It went rather well. Two of which were happy to speak to each other in real time.

I wouldnt say that we don't used it as since this post had been activated it has been quite active, :thumbup: but if you have to pay for it, :thumbdown: this is something we did not know :o and please change it to a free version if you can find one

I have really been enjoying chatting with other members and getting to know them better, but if you can't find a free one... :crybaby: :( Oh well, we did without before it was active.

Since no one uses it..and I have to 'pay' for the Live Chat service, I'm planning to close it down or change it to a free version.

I would like to use the Live Chat but no one else is on! There needs to be greater awareness of the Live Chat service in order for usage to increase. I think the Live Chat service should continue as it would be a good means of communicating with other members. In the future it will be worth keeping as membership will increase and there will be greater awareness about the Live Chat service.

Well.. the problem is that live chat service integration to IPB has stopped. It's also pretty expensive to purchase additional software for it. I guess, I'll consider about it in the future.
