Than I realised that under this exemption plan I can't post topics in the different dynasties forums which included the Qing dynasty forum which I have posted serval threads. Now I can't even reply in those Qing dynasty threads which I have started.
I can't even view the threads in the Qing dynasty even when I click on my own profile to see my topics, I couldn't see the topics which I have started in the Qing dynasty. I can only view my Qing dynasty topics when I log out and can't reply to it.
Can the admins see to this flaw in the exemption plan.

There are now flaws in the exemption plan. Did you read the information about our exemption plan at http://www.chinahist...showtopic=19216 ?
Once you're into our exemption plan, you will be made a "magistrate" and will start off with a few forums to access. But as you become more active in posting, you will be promoted to a higher rank and will have access to more forums.
We've designed the exemption plan to encourage activeness. But when you're into this plan, you will only have access to a few forums for a start.
Of course, those who choose the exam plan and pass it to become scholar member will enjoy more priviledge of access to all forums. But if you're not planning to take the exam, you can choose for the exemption plan, which is a systematic guide to have access to all forums as you become more active.
We still encourage members to take on the exam path as that is a better path for those who want to access all forums at one go. But if you really do not want to take the exam, the exemption plan will still allow you to post in the forum, despite it being slower to access to all forums.

Zunjing de Fireice,
I am assuming you are a very well-educated individual and have a high status in society because you qualified to be exempted from the exam.
As a member who went through the exam twice, I really do encourage you to actually take the exam yourself because it is really not that bad. It only consists of 20 multiple choice questions and it is even open-book, meaning you are allowed to look all over the Internet for the answers. Of course, the answers won’t be directly stated on the Internet because you still must take context clues from various sources. You can also take as much time as you need on the exam.
I personally feel this exam does not necessarily test your knowledge on Chinese history because of all the privileges you are permitted to have during the test session. This exam really just evaluates how patient you are since all the answers can be found eventually. If you find CHF is worth the time, then you will certainly pass the test as it was not designed to be challenging.
This post is only intended to give you a little more information about the exam and its nature.

I totally agree. I took the exam the day I joined and passed, no problem, with little to no knowledge of Chinese history.
Viva la Internet! ^__^
Just take it. Easy peasy.

Ditto, I even took the test before posting a single note. I thought it was a good idea to get that out of the way ASAP. It is an easy test.
BTW, are there other tests to take? I've read they were in the making but not sure if they were ever implemented.
Cheers

The questions for the next higher level exam (Juren) have already been half-set. I'm going to set at least 20 more questions for that exam within the next few weeks and sent the questions to Yun for editing/approval. I predict the exam should be ready for "testing" by mid December 2007.

Even wikipedia probably has half the answers to the exam.

Really? Someone should have told me! I wouldn't have to rack my brains then! But I guess not checking is good for me......it tests your real standard.
