I voted USA, esp. during the 19-20th century, when Chinese began studying overseas . Alot of chinese, including Sun Yat Sen was influenced by the American Republican thinking and democracy, which gave influence to the founding of Republic of China.

I am not going to vote as yet, I don't feel qualified. But I do see that, at least in the People's Republic itself, the Chinese who learn English tend to speak it in a British style: "Zed" instead of "zee" for the final letter of the alphabet, "lift" instead of "elevator," and advanced speakers tend to develop British accents with absent final "R's" and the like. So at least in terms of English style, it seems to me that Britain has had more influence here than America.
What is wanted is not the will to believe, but the wish to find out, which is the exact opposite.

It's hard to tell the result, because in different fields and periods, Centeria was influenced by different nations.
Generally thinking about the topic, I voted Germany. Reasons:
1. In the last decades of years of Qing, the imperial court decided to learn from Germany, for they found German system of army and society was more practical and effective to be transplanted in Centeria. From the movement of foreign affairs (洋务运动/洋務運動) to the reformation in the Wuxu year (1898, 戊戌变法/戊戌變法), they all followed in the style of german administration/government more or less.
2. Germany has influenced Centeria deeply with it's philosophy as the former Hegelianism and the latter Marxism. Only Nietzsche there were lots of famous Centerian scholars following. As the saying, "Germany always tortures the world with it's philosophy or it's sword." That's true in Centeria.
3. As the only nation playing "the villain of the piece" twice in the two world wars, Germany was paid the high attention to by the nationalists in Centeria, including Mao Zedong (毛泽东/毛澤東) and Jiang Jieshi (蒋介石/蔣介石). During the periods of Anti-Warlords War, Anti-Japanese War and Civil War (as also as "Liberation War" by CCP), there were lots of German brainmen and teachers active in the both opposite sides.

I vote Great Britain, don't forget all the opiums and wars were what started China's westernization.  :yucky:

Britain gave Centeria the first western wound, but nothing on this sleeping lion's mind except enmity, I think.

well, America's influenced everyone else, with coke and hamburgers, so I don't think they count...

biggest influence... I'd say... Persia(?) One of those 'west of China' countries. During the Tang, much of their clothing, acrobats, and such was adopted with Silk Road trade, becoming a part of Chinese culture.
