Has anyone heard of him?
My teacher has mentioned the name and i wanted to do a bit of my wn research but without any chinese sources and inability to read chinese I'm a bit stuck. Are there are any written sources or other info out there which lists Ming officers, battles etc.

I'm not familiar with the name. I'll do some digging to see what I can find.
Regards
I'm looking for some information on a late Ming dynasty officer, possibly a General by the name Tung En Zhang who was said to have been a formidable spearman and possibly an influence on the accredited founder of Xingyiquan Ji long Feng (aka. Ji Jike).
Has anyone heard of him?

Do you have the chinese character for Tung En Zhang? Perhaps, I can help you check the info.
