Hello
I'm looking for a specific art of the sword, but I find nothing about it on the internet.
Someone here know the name of a martial art/sword system using the Wodao (green army standart sword, inspired from japanese blade) teach in China today ?
Thanks for your answer, it can be a great help for me !
Best regards

I guess the Miao Dao would be the closest thing. It's usually practiced by PiGua or TongBei groups but now it's being picked up by alot of schools and is arguably it's own system.

Since sword was not typically a separate art in Chinese systems, unlike Japan, one could take a sword form and develop it into a sword art if he or she had the physical skills and natural intelligence to do it. Even 1 good form contains most of the basics that a person needs to become an expert. The problem with sword arts in China is that they have not actually been used realistically for a hundred years or so, and the various instructors teach techniques that are not practical. Learning a good Filipino art, like the Ilustrisimo style, to complement the Chinese sword is a good way to develop real, effective technique. There is nothing wrong with Chinese sword. It is simply too far removed from reality for the most part, but the basic elements are still there.

Hi there, I don't think there is a "form" or style that exist which use that weapon you mentioned because usually the army aren't trained by forms, they are frained by single or combo techniques. If you want some forms to play around with the weapon. I do have a few in my lineage which you can see if you like. There are a few very unique forms here, which all can use the dao you mentioned.
