I will list the benzi here which was found after much research and are different from common usage in both Mandarin and Cantonese.

Although cantonese use 行 but mandarin use 走, minnan use 行(Kia) so this is not listed because cantonese uses it commonly.

The reason why min language is significantly different from cantonese and mandarin is because some characters were used in old chinese but not cantonese/mandarin anymore.

刣 has the wrong meaning but right sound

These are wrong characters borrowed for either their meaning or their sound.

歹 is borrowed for the meaning, the sound is Tai and not P'ai.

甲 is borrowed for the approximate sound but the meaning is NOT 'together'.

Those which are not on the list, please refer to the mandarin characters. If you cannot find mandarin version, then look at cantonese version, I only list the rare ones that are not obvious to most people ie. not commonly used in both mandarin and cantonese.

Morning is 早起 ie. Ca K'i

The meaning of 甲 is 'armour' or 'first'.

I would think that Min Nan, as well as other Min dialects came from Late Old Chinese. Mandarin and Cantonese came from Late Middle Chinese.

Min and Wu do share some cognate and false cognate words with each other, but written differently and pronounced differently.

In some cases, 其 can be written as 伊 as a result of some phonological mutation.

The only thing is probably that the tones do not really match, as the dictionary implies that it's in the first tone.
