hi,
My surname is Ying (as in chinese words=英), I have been trying long way to find out origin of my surname.
I have even tried out look at 百家姓 and wikipedia there's no any information on it.Since youngs i have been asked by others that does this surname exist etc. Since then it make me wondering and want to look for the origin etc.
I'm from Malaysia and sometimes i just wondering m I the only Family which have this surname 英, so far i get to know that there's other similar sounds with YING but different in chinese words.
I'm here to seek out anyone that have any information on it and willing to sharing with me?

I'm currently in the US/Australia but my roots trace back to Jiangmen area in Guangdong province. According to the family tree that we keep, I am of the 31st generation. Anyone from a similar background?

I'm glad to meet some same surname around the world....well so far i knw with our surname are very very few ....i have no idea which generation from the family tree...but i know that i'm the 3rd generation since my granpa came from China.....this is the purpose that would like to get more information from you guys..
