Qipao Obsession: Who Looks the Best?

Cheongsam, also known as a qipao, is a distinctively traditional Chinese dress originating from the Manchu people of the Qing Dynasty in the early 17th century. It has evolved through the ages and is still used in contemporary Asian female fashion that is created to uniquely emphasize feminine features while preserving its cultural authenticity.

When westerners think of Chinese fashion, the "cheongsam" is the type of dress that most frequently comes to mind. The traditional one-piece, form-fitting dress is either made of silk, brocade, velvet or fabric and is the obsession of every Chinese woman.

But a "qipao" chooses its wearer. Only when the body goes well with the clothing will the dress come to life and speak for the person wearing it.

Take a look at China's notable stars dressed in gorgeously vying Cheongsams and see who looks the best.

I am a cheongsam fanatic as well. Regarding the question you made, I strongly believe that Chen Hao and Gong Li look great, especially Chen Hao, she looks really beautiful.I dont like Gong Li's gloves at all.Chen Shu is equally good. I dont really like the modern patterns of cheongsam dresses but Zhang Ziyi looks really good in Bazaar Magazine, her cheongsam is just beautiful.I dont like the short lenght and the on-stage cheongsams and also that blonde girl's cheongsam is such a disgrace for the cheongsams, it is so short! After all I will go for Chen Hao and Chen Shu, they both look gracious and beautiful.
