CHF gathering in SoCal?

This is just a random thought of mine as I keep seeing all the gatherings in Asia.

I figure there must be a lot here in the States as well, especially in Southern California. I wouldn't mind hosting or supporting any get together of like-minded people once in a while if anyone is interested and living in the area.

I'm just throwing ideas out there, maybe like a picnic or bbq since it's that time.

Or, we can copy what the other guys are doing in Singapore.

Southern California is pretty spread out, and I understand that just to do a few things here can practically take the whole day. So, whatever works.
