Good day, whoever is reading this. Since my surname is Wu I was wondering where the name originated. My fathers family came from Fujian and my mothers family lives in Taiwan. I have read numerous articles on how Wu is related to Zhou through Duke Taibo but I dont quite get the concept. Unfortunately my parents dont know much of this and said it originated around southern China. I would like information about the origins of my surname. The only few facts I know about is that during the Spring and Autumn period there was a state of Wu and the inhabitants were pre-sinized, during the three kingdoms peroid there was Sunwu and during the ten kingdoms there was a Wu. So thank for reading this post please reply in godspeed.
