For those of you that are fretting - or perhaps working up some excitement - over Rashid Aldin Hamadani's references to what seems to be caucasoid ancestors of Genghis Khan should note that all of his statements aren't meant to be taken literally . There are some out there e.g. Earlson that are distorting statements that are actually epic in origin into something to be taken literally. The Chronicles is part epic and part historical , when Rashid Aldin meant for a statement to be taken in an epic sense , he employed Jewish forms of writing from his earlier training as a Jew. Take for example , his statement " Genghis was shocked that his son Kublai didn't inherit his red hair " ... there are some blatant flaws with it that need to be addressed should one want to take it literally :

- red haired people don't expect their offspring to inherit red hair , red hair is one of the least heritable traits out there. They certainly wouldn't be shocked over it , unless the individual is a lunatic , because it make no sense for anyone to even want their son to inherit their red hair that badly.

- Genghis fathered more children than any other individual in history. Thus , if he had red hair , he would have known that red hair isn't inherited easily. Thus he wouldn't have expected his son Kublai to have inherited his red hair ; this is in direct contradiction to what Rashid Aldin claimed to have happened - that Genghis was shocked that his son Kublai didn't inherit his red hair.

- Genghis being " shocked " seems out of character for a man of his stature. Genghis drew upon his information masterfully , so it matters little whether he had red hair or not , the bottom line is that he wouldn't have been overwhelmed by a matter so trivial and obvious as that of red hair.

So it matters very little whether Rashid Aldin claimed that Genghis' ancestors were glittering or whether Genghis was shocked that his son Kublai didn't inherit his red hair ... because none of it happened , Rashid Aldin was writing in an epic manner , a fact which is obvious when his statements don't fit the standards of something that was meant to be taken literally. Genghis was not shocked , and his ancestors were not actually " glittering " .

I'm a new member here , joined the forums in order to immerse myself a bit more into other perspectives besides the ones that they tell us here , the other side of the world ... US. I'm not chinese , not asian either , we'll leave it at that to minimize the bias that can be deemed on my writings here. Glad to be on the forums

Sure , would be glad to oblidge ... Rashid Aldin Hamadani was a Persian historian of Jewish origins. He converted to Islam later in his life. He was commissioned by Ghazan http://en.wikipedia....i/Mahmud_Ghazan to write a historical text on the Mongols however the book itself , Jami al-Tawarikh , was later expanded to include the history of the world itself ... including the sphere of Islam and dating all the way back to Adam and Eve.

France has refused to give credibility to anything that is claimed by historians of the east when it comes to Genghis Khan , yes , even the Mongols are distrusted , that is unless they find a piece of information that they would actually enjoy supporting for their own agendas. Now note that some have played the old switch-aroo on conveying the image of Genghis Khan , the French wanted him as a Mongoloid to intermeddle in the matters of the East , Hitler wanting him as a Nordic so that he could employ his tactics and then switched him into a lowlife eastern scum later on so that he could invade Russia. Rashid Aldin's work is deemed as the next best thing to Eastern work because it contains pictures which contain Genghis as Mongoloid and statements that can be distorted to support delusions , thus they can twist and shapeshift Genghis' image to support whatever agendas they have at the time ; picts such as Earlson distort Aldin's work from it's epic origins into the literal sense for reasons that only lie within their own head. He supposedly endeavored feverishly in this distortion a long time ago and it has gained some support within Stormfront (on why some of these idiots would seek to glorify a man who was responsible for devising the greatest system of " white slavery " the world has ever known ... is really beyond me) , albeit a small fraction of them cherished the notion for a while till they realized that it wasn't a reinforcement or they eventually found out , and was horrified , that Rashid Aldin Hamadani was actually Jewish.

Stormfront is anti-semetic. However , some still insist on adding literal significance to Rashid's epic statements , as it is done here

Again , there are apparent glitches within those statements which will give trouble to those that want to take them literally , and those glitches involve deficits in logical realism and contradictions that arise should the statements be taken literally , the statements were constructed in that manner by Rashid Aldin so as to meet an epic standard and to degrade it as a literal one.
