There is this Bingfa text about tactics and stratagems which has recently been
published in Portuguese, written by a Zhanguo times general Er Hu. No specific
references to original edition. O Tao da Guerra ed. by Marcos de Vaconcelos ( The Tao of War ). The manuscript
is said to have been found in a French in Portuguese) made in the XVIIth (!) century. Er Hu is supposed to have lived
around 370 BC being thus a contemporary of Sun Zi.
How much credible is all this?

I've never heard of this general called Er Hu. Do you by any chance know the Chinese character of Er Hu?

One should seek serenity to cultivate the body, thriftiness to cultivate the morals. If you are not simple and frugal, your ambition will not sparkle. If you are not calm and cool, you will not reach far. - Zhugeliang

No, this Brazilian "edition" has no other mention besides that of the "discovered"
manuscript. I have a strong propensity to consider it a fake. I`m considering the
option of writing to the Publishing House or even to the Editor. But it may just
be a waste of time. The whole story has the smell of a Chinese Da Vinci Code plot,
who knows? A Brazilian Dan Brown to-be candidate spreading his seeds.

My only knowing of a man of general-status named Erhu is in the film The Warlords, up until seeing this film I had never heard of him. I will look more into this.
