Today I want to tell the story about terracotta warriors. In 1974 when a group of peasants was digging a well, they surprisingly unearthed fragments of life-sized terra cotta warriors made in the Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC), which became the greatest archaeological discovery of the 20th century. The great excavation revealed thousands of warriors and their horses - an entire army buried for safeguarding the eternity of Emperor Qinshihuang. Hence, the Qin Terra Cotta Army is now over 2,200 years old.
The Qin Terra Cotta Army Museum, built at the original excavating place, is a hangar-like construction over Pit 1 and was officially opened in 1979. Later in October 1994, Pit 2 opened to the public. Now the museum is a stunning attraction that every visitor to China should see.

Apart from the magnificent Great Wall, glorious Imperial Palace in Beijing and the exquisite Dunhuang Murals, there is another wonder in China that amazes the world -- The Terracotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty (221-206BC).
As a whole, the Terracotta Warriors create a magnificent and dignified atmosphere. The statues of generals are tall and strong, wearing armor. But the manner of the kneeling soldiers is the most complex. Judging from their face shapes, hairstyles and figures, one can guess the soldiers' characters and regions of birth. With their ears perked up, some of the clay horses were depicted as neighing, while others are silent. Every piece of the sculptures is charming. Many people believed that Chinese ancient sculpture came into being in the Northern and Southern Dynasties (420-581) with the introduction of Buddhism from India. The Terracotta Warriors proved otherwise. The discovery demonstrates the high level of Chinese sculpting skills during the Qin.

I missed the chance to see terrocotta warriors at the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) where I live, it sucks. I'm not sure if they are still there, but if I ever gain lots of money. China is one of the places I WANT to go.

Anyways where is this muesum located? Like which province of china is it in?

I research stuff I like, I enjoy it as a hobby but one day I plan to get a master's degree in something I enjoy a lot.

Aeneas was real, because Trojan war happened after founding of Xia and Shang dynasty of China!

I visited the site of the Terra Cotta Warriors last Chinese New Years (Year of the Dragon) and the complex surrounding the museums, the dig sights and burial mound were breathtakingly awesome!  The sight is located east of Xi'an in Shaanxi province.
