Han Lin Journal Needs You

I hope therefor that some of you will volunteer soon. We should have drafts of contributions for the August issue by August 1 in order to have the Journal out by August 21 or so.
The following are suggestions for articles--please check the HLJ forum for guidelines regarding format, etc. The following are in no particular order;
A. Any type of Chines literature, e.g., wuxia, the many forms of poetry, Yuan drama, modern novels, etc.
B. Chinese influences on its neighbors--e.g., Japan, Korea, Vietnam--and vice versa
C. Modern adaptations of classical literature, e.g., TV series or movies of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
D. An aspect of Chinese thought/philosophy--e.g., chan Buddhism, Daoist inspired rebellion, reaction of Confucianism to Christianity, ditto re Islam.
E. Any aspect of Chinese migration overseas, to any particular area of the world.
F. Relations between the Han Chinese and any of the following--Turks, Mongols, "Altaic" people, Tocharians, Zhuang, Man "barbarians," etc.
G. Physical evidence of Chinese history or literature, archaeology, studies of ancient dictionaries, etc.
H. Reaction to foreign invasions--by the different peoples of the steppes, by different Europeans (Portuguese, British), etc.

Those who have articles ready or almost ready, please submit early in August so we have a couple of weeks for reviewing, comments, etc.
