I'm new to 3 kingdoms games.. can anyone tell me and recommend which one is good to play? I've only played "Fate of Dragon" before.

Well, there is the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series (which go from I to IX) which can be found for either the Playstation 2 or for the computer; although some of the earlier ones are for the first Playstation as well as for the computer (for Windows, I think).

kongming.net has a great list of the many different 3 Kingdoms games here: http://kongming.net/games/

I have mastered and was extreamly satisfied with the playstation 2 games Dynasty Warriors 4, Dynasty Warriors 4 xtream legends and if your a fan of the accual history of the three kingdoms then i HIGHLY sujest you play Dynasty warriors Empires. In empire you can play the historical version or can change it around to rule china with your created character or anouther character of your chocie.

Zhou Yu I cannot stress this enough as I have many times keep posts in the proper threads.

That's not quite true, Zhou Yu. They call it the historical version, but there are still events and people which keep it from being historical. As the Dynasty Warrior games are based primarily on the Sanguo Yanyi, it's really not too accurate to say that they are truly historical.

Thats a wonderful game. Very complex with the tactics systems yet highly enjoyable and challenging. A great recommendation.
Since my computer is bogged down with other uses i prefer my PS2 for my gaming. Yes although historically full of misplaced 'oopsies', the DW games are loads of fun. I personally prefer Empires 4, although Empires 5 is much more strategical. However the battle engine in 4 is unparalelled. Thus why i recommend it. Theirs countless details to the empires series that make it a great pick up for any Three Kingdoms fan - far too many to list here. I can assure you though, if your in the this forum and own a PS2 but have NOT played Empires 4-5 your seriously missing out. And as the games are becoming in much less print and rare it would be wise to secure a copy soon.

Perhaps someone in the forum could help me out with my gaming problem

I run a PC ver of RTK XI (Chi/Japanese version) on my PC. When I create a new player, the chinese character appeared on the name box, but the system cannot display the pinyin character that I put. I have changed my system input to MS pinyin. Has anyone ever had and solved this problem ? How can I get a name that match my typings ? As additional info, Im using a US version of Win XP S2. Thx

Sounds a bit like a driver issue to me. Try updating all the necessary drivers and codecs for your computer. The US version of XP sometimes has little issues like that. Im not for certain thats exactly your problem Xiao Xian, but it would definitley be a good place to start =)

Thanks Lu Su

I have tried to change all the settings and update the drivers that I have before, but it didn't really work. I have also tried to install chinese ver Windows XP. It just worked like US ver. When I input the pinyin character in the name box (I intended to create a new general), it appeared as I meant, but when I pressed enter, the character changed.
