Eighteen Arms of Wushu refers to the main eighteen kinds of weapons of Chinese martial arts. 18 weapons include dao, qiang, jian, ji, fu, etc. (source:Eighteen Arms of Wushu)

Also, empty hand is one of those categories, like cross bow and bow.
