It's going to be released towards end of September 2011 in Singapore in memory of the 100 years celebration of Xinhai revolution.
It's a definite must-watch movie for Chinese history fan. Jackie Chan stars in this movie.

One should seek serenity to cultivate the body, thriftiness to cultivate the morals. If you are not simple and frugal, your ambition will not sparkle. If you are not calm and cool, you will not reach far. - Zhugeliang

It's generally historically accurate. I watched it last week. I think, it's worth watching it. For detail information, refer to http://en.wikipedia....nhai_Revolution
Qiu Jin 秋瑾 was a true historical figure. The movie started off with her execution.
Basically, the movie portrayed the Huang Hua Gang uprising in Guangzhou 黃花崗起義, which had failed and when 72 martyrs died. The most famous figures was Huang Xin 黄兴 and Lin Jue Ming 林觉民.
In the movie, it portrayed the famous letter to farewell written by Lin Jue Ming to his wife (与妻诀别书). There was an advertisement from Taiwan about Lin Jue Ming made in ROC 100 years anniversary, which was actually quite good.
It then proceed to Wuchang uprising. Basically there were a total of 11 uprising. 10 of them failed. Only the last one at Wuchang uprising succeeded.
There was even a folks song about 与妻诀别书
