Try to find relationship of people from Indonesia, Northern Sulawesi (Minahasa people) with the Dutch and the Chinese.
This will lead you to a very wide range of multi-linkage history of origins.

Northern Sulawesi itself is already interesting, because it consist of multi-ethnics people, with different backgrounds,
and as Indonesian, the most distinct part of them from other regions of Indonesia is that: in this territory the common religion people believe is Christian,
not Islam like the majority of Indonesian.

Myself, I am a Catholic, Chinese descent, which trying to discover my own roots, especially from my mother's side, which is still unclear to me.

Knock knock... are you around?  May be I can join you too.

I am 100% Thai (Siamese..whatever), Buddhist, and am very interested in history of this region.  I am gathering data for writing a book which will be called "Suvarnabhumology" or the story of southeast Asia in English (you can pray for me too:) )
