Just thought I'd notify anyone else who's interested, Wang Zhenping (author of Ambassadors from the Isle of Immortals) is scheduled to release his second book on Tang foreign policy in June next year. It's entitled: Tang China in Multi-polar Asia: A History of Diplomacy and War. You can read more about it here. He's also currently in the process of writing his third book: The Administration of External Affairs under the Tang Dynasty. I'm very exciting to see what his second book has to offer, and I hope he doesn't keep us waiting too long on the third either!

Is his new book written in English. Is the author a Chinese citizen?

His books are written in English. I'm not sure if he's a Chinese citizen. He's currently teaching in Singapore I think, though he studied at Princeton.
