Very good link to mythology & legends: A few broken links.
http://www2u.biglobe...AGI/China-e.htm
"China seems sometimes to used to be called "the Land without Mythology". But please try to think about there are few countries like Greece holding sophisticated and systemized Mythology, and the Greeks love their mythology to use for their literature and poetry, and drama without religious aim."
To say that China does not have mythology is simply a sign of ignorance. Chinese mythology is actually quite sophisticated and comprehensive too, it's just that it is very poorly known compared with Greek mythology.

Chinese theology tends to be highly systematic, with a sophisticated bureucracy; more organized hierarchical relationship than the Greek version, typical of Chinese administration.
In Greek theology, individual gods reign over elements of the world, they all have a degree of freedom from the supreme God Zeus, yet in Chinese theology, all gods are under the supervision of the Jade emperor, and instead of individual gods that reign over elements of the world, there were divine ministries that run the world; such as ministry of thunder(36 gods), under the supreme Tian Zun, ministry of fire, etc.

Chinese theology only really developed after the Tang dynasty, one thing interesting is that theology is actually a good reflection of the society itself.
The Chinese gods also tend to be much more moral, compared with the Greek gods, which can often be more immoral than even the humans.
I disagree that Chinese theology only developed after the Tang Dynasty. It is true that the Orthodox Daoist theology of the Three Highest Pure/Pristine Ones (San Qing - Yuanshi Tianzun/Lingbao Tianzun/Daode Tianzun) was only first formalised during the Tang Dynasty. But official and systematic Confucian and Daoist theology exist much earlier on. During the Han Dynasty the Supreme God was called Shangdi Taiyishen, and even as early as the Western Zhou Dynasty, a theology based on the Supreme God of Heaven and numerous natural and ancestral spirits acting as His ministers was already systematically established.
