Well, you won't find a single Liang anywhere during the 3K... or if you did, do let me know. I'd be really (though pleasantly) surprised!

He's one of the Eight Cavalry of the Original Banner 旗本八騎, under Han Sui 韓遂. He probably just had his death mentioned. :P

My surname is Zhao. My dad had told me that Zhao Yun was our direct ancestor. We inherited a wide square jaw and like our ancestors, are all relatively tall (over 6 feet).

I would appreciate if anyone can give me any genealogy records on Zhao Yun.

I'm rather doubtful about there being credible genealogies traced back to Zhao Yun. The dynastic histories do not have such records.

Liang Xing was actually a rebel leader in the Chang'an area who got defeated and killed by Xiahou Yuan in the same year (219) as Ma Chao and Han Sui were defeated by Cao Cao. Luo Guanzhong thus distorted history and made Liang Xing one of Han Sui's generals.
The dead have passed beyond our power to honour or dishonour them, but not beyond our ability to try and understand.

Ah thanks Yun! Finally a sufficiently significant Liang during the 3K! Yay! I wonder whether he was a member of the Clan but didn't get his head lopped off or more likely, not a member of the Clan. :P
