Actually, the Japanese court in the 7th and 8th centuries adopted Paekje style clothing. I have pictures that I'll post later. Btw... how do you post pictures on this thing?????

You'll notice that after Paekje fell in 663 AD, Japan, over the following centuries, became less and less sinofied in clothing, government, etc. That is until they invaded Korea again in the late 16th century, kiddnapped Korean neo-confucian scholars and stole our books and metal type (so they can publish more books), they "rediscovered" confucianism again!

I've been asking around for Japanese crowns for a while now, and this individual seems to be wearing some sort of crown.

Huh? I've never heard of a Song "Weizong". Which Song dynasty is this?

actually the painting isnt about song weizong(宋微宗),the painting is from his favorite painter: Han Kan
those paintings are replicates of original paintings that are stored in either,中国故宫博物院,台湾故宫博物院or national museum of japan

i like the clothing during the heian period, it looks so classical, purely classical as it was than the familiar japanese attire.
