The Administration of Tang Dynasty
Central
The imperial administration is divided between three main departments:
1. Imperial Chanselary
2. Imperial Secretariat
3. Board of Civil Appointers
The Chanselary and the Secretariat are responsible of giving advice to the Emperor so that he get the latest news in his empire.
The Government Department is responsible of executing imperial order through its six Board of Civil Appointers which are responsible to the Government Department.
There is also Censorate for inspecting the officials.
Imperial Chanselary
-Receiving imperial orders and the reports from the both of central and pronvicial officials for debate.
-Reports any information or news and advises the Emperor
-Making sure that the government's secrets do not leaked out
Imperial Secretariat
-Drafts law and announces the imperial law
-Guarding the official government files
State Department
-Executing the imperial order through the six boards which are under its power
The Six Boards
Board of civil Appointments
-Preparing the civil official
-Approving the promotion of official
-Appointment of specialised officials
-Runs the imperial examination
Board of Finance
-Collect taxes and revenue
-Supervises imperial land resource
Board or Rites
-Managing the rites
-Receiving the visits from foreign ambassadors
Board of War
-Supervises and appoint military officer
-Organizes equipment and other services
-Control and look after foreign citizen
Board of Punishment
-Handling all legal matters including the supervision of various law courts and prisons
Board of Works
-Handling all governmental building projects including palaces, temples and also the repairs of water ways and flood canals.
Censorate
The Censorate is controlled by a official and his two assistants.
It consists of three divisions:
1.The first division is the department that oversees the officials' affairs.
Six Censors are responsible to the Emperor and can charge the officials if they are found guilty of abusing their power
2.The second division is the department that is responsible of courts' affairs.
Nine Censors are specializing with their task of checking the imperial protocol.
3.The third one is the inspector.
Fifteen Censors are responsible of supervising the administration of the officials and conducting investigations in their province to check their efficiency,quality and integrity.

May I suggest changing Board of Works to Board of Engineering?
