I am trying to connect something in Xiahou-Cao family tree. I found that Zhang Fei's wife is the daughter of Xiahou Dun: http://kongming.net/...s/caoxiahou.txt I don't know if this is right family tree or not... So is it true that Xiahou Dun's daughter married to Zhang Fei?

I heard at only 16, she got kidnapped by Zhang Fei, and then u know what happen..le :no:

and the mother of Koei's Xing Cai... yes. though whether it was Xiahou Dun's daughter or not... I don't know for sure. I have also seen Yuan's granddaughter somewhere...

but regardless, there is a close relation between Zhang Fei and one/both of the famous xiahou's

I believe Zhang Fei's wife was only mentioned as Xiahou Yuan's niece. It was not said whether she was really Xiahou Dun's daughter.

We only know that Zhang Fei's wife was a cousin (congmei) of Xiahou Ba. The 'cong' cousin relationship normally means sharing the same paternal grandfather, great-grandfather, or an even earlier ancestor. This means that her father and Xiahou Yuan may have had the same father.

But Xiahou Yuan was Xiahou Dun's "zudi", meaning younger cousin within the same clan. They were not closely related, certainly not brothers. So the chance of the girl having been Xiahou Dun's daughter is slight indeed.
The dead have passed beyond our power to honour or dishonour them, but not beyond our ability to try and understand.
