Qin Dynasty (221 BC – 206 BC)
221 BC
King Yingzheng (嬴政) of Qin, after conquering the 6 states and unifying China into 1st Imperial Empire, proclaimed himself "Shihuangdi" (始皇帝), which means 1st Emperor. Also known as "Qinshihuang" (秦始皇), he became the 1st Emperor of China. A provincial system was established across the empire.
214 BC
Qin's General Meng Tian ( 蒙恬) defeated the XiongNu (匈奴)and recovered He Tao region, 44 counties were established. On the same year, construction of the Great Wall began. In the south, 3 provinces were newly established.
213 BC
Qinshihuang ordered the burning of Confucian and other books
212 BC
Qinshihuang prosecuted and buried alive 460 confucian scholars
210 BC
Qinshihuang died on the way during an inspection tour. Hu Hai (胡亥) became 2nd emperor known as "Qin Ershi" (秦二世).

July, Chen Sheng (陈胜) and Wu Guang (吴广) began their rebellion at
