As this is a frequently asked question, I've decided to put up this info for a quick reference.

After posting for quite sometime, you suddenly realize "you're not able to post" anymore in our history forums even though you can login. In fact, you will get this error message "Sorry, you do not have permission to reply to that topic", when you click "reply".

Please do not panick. It just means that you have already reached your 30 posts limit and you're a now a "Xiucai Exam Candidate", in which your posting ability in the history forums is disabled.

You have two paths to choose to regain your posting ability:

1. Become a scholar member by taking and passing our Imperial Exam (Xiucai Exam).

For detailed information about taking exam, please refer to
http://www.chinahist...showtopic=14696

Once you become a "xiucai scholar', you will regain your posting ability and will be able to post in all forums.

OR

2. If you do not want to take exam, you can participate in our 'exemption plan'. The exemption plans allow you to regain your posting ability. You will start off with a "magistrate" and have access to only a few forums, but as you become more active, you will be promoted to higher rank and will have access to more forums.

For detailed information taking part in the "exemption plan", refer to
http://www.chinahist...showtopic=19216

You would need to choose either one of the above paths in order to regain your posting ability so as to continue to participate in our discussion in CHF.

One should seek serenity to cultivate the body, thriftiness to cultivate the morals. If you are not simple and frugal, your ambition will not sparkle. If you are not calm and cool, you will not reach far. - Zhugeliang
