CHF Staff Information
The CHF staff is a small group of people involved in helping to run this community. Other than participating in the chinese history discussion, they also help to take care of this community and make sure that this forum is in good order through the various work they do. Please read the following info so that you understand what our staff's power are, staff application and who our staff are.
Our CHF staff is generally divided into two bodies: the Moderation team and the Editorial team. The Moderation team is in charge of moderating the forums and making sure that the forum is in good order. On the other hand, the editorial team (also known as "CHF Editorial board") is in charge of writing for the forum, such as generating newsletter, academic journal etc.
As of February 2012, the Editorial Team is no longer officially operating. However, members of the team are still treated as staff and deserve the respect afforded to them as per the forum rules.

Information about Moderator Application
Interested in becoming a staff moderator of CHF?
Although staff work here is on a voluntary basis, we do have some basic requirements to become a staff as follows:
1. Basic Chinese history knowledge
2. Able to be active at all times (at least 5-10 minutes per day in CHF doing posting, moderation work etc.)
3. Good conduct and behaviour
If you satisfy the above 3 basic requirements, you can apply to become a moderator by contacting Bao Pu through PM or e-mail. Your application will then be reviewed by the current staff.
The administrators will first check if you satisfy the above 3 requirements based on your posting and conduct in the community. We will also check if there is any staff vacancy. Normally, we do not accept very new members to staff because we will not be able to gauge how this member is through the limited posting he has.
Other bonus consideration includes good (expertise) Chinese history/culture knowledge, any Chinese language skill (reading etc.), maturity as well any other special skills etc.
Information about Columnist Application
Do you have a flair in writing? Interested in becoming a volunteer writer (columnist) for our editorial board?
Although staff work here is on a voluntary basis, we do have some basic requirements to become a staff columnist as follows:
1. You need to be active in contributing your writing (usually on a bi-monthly basis).
2. You might be required to do some 'research' for your writing.
We are currently not taking on any new editorial staff. If and when the editorial team is reformed, an announcement will be posted on the forum.
