here are the members of the royal family who became members of the communist party. (comrade his majesty)
Puyi (zh:溥儀) February 7, 1906 - October 17, 1967) of the Manchu Aisin-Gioro ruling family was the Xuantong Emperor (宣統皇帝) of China between 1908 and 1924 (ruling emperor between 1908 and 1912, and non-ruling emperor between 1912 and 1924), the tenth and last emperor of the Manchu Qing Dynasty to rule over China. He was married to the Empress Gobulo Wan Rong(婉容皇后)under the suggestion of the Imperial Dowager Concubine Duan-Kang(端康太妃). Later between 1934 and 1945 he was the Kangde Emperor (康德皇帝) of Manchukuo. In the People's Republic of China he was a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from 1964 until his death in 1967 under the Chinese name Aixinjueluo Puyi. His abdication being a symbol to the end of a very long era in China, Puyi is widely known as the Last Emperor (末代皇帝
At the end of World War II, he was captured by Soviet Red Army (1945) and turned over to the Chinese Communists in 1950. He spent ten years in a reeducation camp in Fushun, was declared reformed, and claimed to become a supporter of the Communists. Afterwards, he worked at the Beijing Botanical Gardens. He was made a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, in which he served from 1964 until his death in 1967. He wrote an autobiography (我的前半生 - "The former half of my life", translated in English as From Emperor to Citizen) in the 1960s and died in Beijing of cancer during the Cultural Revolution.
Pujie (Simplified Chinese: 溥杰; Traditional Chinese: 溥傑; Wade-Giles: Pu Chieh; Japanese: Aishinkakura Fuketsu) (April 16, 1907 — February 28, 1994) was born into the Manchu Aisin-Gioro clan and was the brother of the last Emperor of China, Puyi. He was the second son of Lady Aisin-Gioro.
During the Manchukuo era, and as his elder brother Puyi had no children, Pujie was first in line to succeed the Manchu Throne. He married a Japanese, Lady Hiro Saga, who was a member of the Japanese Imperial Family. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Pujie was made a member of the CPPCC.
The 2nd Prince Chun (Chinese: 醇親王) (February 12, 1883 - February 3, 1951) was born Zaifeng (Chinese: 載灃; Wade-Giles: Tsai-feng), of the Manchu Aisin-Gioro clan (the Qing imperial family ruling over China). He was the leader of China between 1908 and 1911, serving as the regent for his young son Puyi, the Xuantong Emperor.
When the communists took control of mainland China in 1949, he was again honored and party members took care of him. He sold the Northern Residence to the government out of financial needs. Then, thankful for the good treatment he received from the new government, he donated his library and his art collection to Peking University. He also gave money for the relief of the victims of the terrible flooding of the Huai River (淮河) in 1950. At the start of the Korean War, he was prominent in the movement of subscription to the Chinese government Victory Bonds. He died shortly afterwards on February 3, 1951 in Beijing.

none of them joined. but prince chun recognized the legitimacy of the government of the guomindang, but puyi did not recognize it due to the guomindang's vandalism of the qing graveyards. so he allied himself with the japanese, then with the communists.

Zaifeng is son of the Prince Yixuan who was the son of the Daoguang emperor who in turn was the son of the Jiaqing emperor who is the son of the Qianlong emperor. So Jin Yuzhang whould be Qianlong's great great great great grandson. Puyi would be his uncle.

Hello. new to this forum.
I've met a guy who's name is Fox Aisin_Gioro. He lives in Inner Mongolia. Learnt that his Mom is a gangster chief there. Funny thing is, he came to Singapore to learn dance and did some work as part-time dancer with MediaCorp (Singapore TV).. hahaha. Weird huh.
I thought Northerners were supposed to be big and tall. Guess his ancestors' genes got mixed up along the way. He is barely above my chest and I am 1.78m.
Then there was also a program on TV some years ago about an Aisin_Gioro descendent of Qian Long who is now a hair-dresser in China. Punky hairstyle and all. Bet Qian Long would roll in his grave if he saw that hair style.
