That's what I'd like to know too.

It can't be the 7th brother of the Yang family generals, can it?
The manner of death seems to suggest it, but why the grotesque visage?
To think he was played by Tony Leung Chiu Wai in a TVB series.
I know Wu Fei used his head as an avatar, but Wu Fei hasn't been active (maybe he can't get around the ban).

Does this artist have a website? I think I saw the no-head on a game's website. Game didn't look near as good as that art though

I think all that arrows and that emaceration in the river could have led to his grotesque image.
Plus, vengeful spirits are bound to look hideous.

Maybe one of his feet was lopped off or something, or completely rotted away.
Hence the need for a bronze-mechano leg.

Thanks for the link. Wonder how he learn how to draw so uniquely.
If I were to guess, practiced brushwork while reading manga. I've seen some Japanese comic artists who use calligraphy brushes, the works are similiar.

Where can I read stories about these characters? Because, I'd love to find a thread that tells Chinese fairy tales and mythology... is there a thread for that here at CHF?? Or can someone suggest a book or two written in English?
