i have a burning question ,what really happen to the wild nuzhen and haixi nuzhen after hurachi founded later jin in 1616 ,who are they desendent now are they now become xibe ,thank you.
Yun
I believe they were also absorbed into the Manchu people in Qing times. The Xibe mainly live in Liaoning, which is not the area of the Wild and Haixi Jurchen, and they claim descent from the Xianbei although they have a Manchu-Tungusic language.

See http://www.chinahistoryforum.com/index.php?showtopic=9509 for the Xibe.

i m wondering if the other closely related but non-manchu tungusic peoples were referred as jurchen as well? especially as wild jurchens... if so, there could be some who escaped incorporation into the manchu banners?

anyone could give a good answer?

Yes there are a number of Tungusic tribes (non Manchu) that are descended from Jurchens, although at the moment the specific "Jurchen label" escapes me. I do know that Ewenki groups (which can really vary in culture and life style) Nanai, and Udeghe (all of whom can be found in Russia and have been living there) are included.

In some cases, a number of Ewenkis (particularly the Solons) were incorporated as "New Manchus"

The Haixi Jurchens(Huifa, hada, Wula, Yehe) were absorbed.
The wild Jurchens on the otherhand were forced to pay tribute and many strongbodies were asked to migrate into the Jin kingdom.

Lot of the wild Jurchens who mostly lived east of Ussuri river or north of the Amur river like the original Hurha and the Sahaliyan tribes still live in Russia and are classified as separate Tungusic tribes.
