That is the traditional chinese burial tomb which is shaped like a half sphere. I saw a few small ones when I was in Malaysia.
Non-Han Nan Ban
I've seen similar arch-vaulted and domed Chinese brick-laid tombs, but they were just a bit older than the Three Kingdoms, coming from the Eastern Han Dynasty. The tombs I've seen from the Warring States (such as Marquis Yi's famous tomb) lack this arch-vaulted and dome-structured tomb style. Was the latter elements of arches, domes, and curved chamber design incorporated into China from the Parthian Middle East during the Eastern Han era? Or was this an indigenous innovation of the Chinese apart from their Southwest Asian contemporaries in Parthia?
