I was wondering: how would a concubine prepare for an average day? Would she dress herself, or get other servants to dress her? And would she dress in private, or together with all the other concubines?

A concubine would usually don her clothes herself (this is perfectly normal, you can't expect servants to wear them for her) but the servants would help her wear her accessories on her body as well as making her hair look neat (and add those accessories on her hair). Normally, a concubine would dress in private (in their own palaces) with their servants and attendants attending to them. I had never came across the information of concubines dressing together, but there may be some.
