That said, I want one so that I could shoot at my husband when I am mad at him! The American Indian's bow and arrow I got is really NOT as effective as the Chinese Chu-ko-nu!!!

Also, I wouldn't point anything loaded, bows or nu or guns, at anyone lightly. If I am pointing those things at someone, that someone should know that I mean business and never joking at all!!! I did fire rifles with live bullets and able to hit my targets 50% of the times from afar, and I did use Chinese bow and arrows before and could also hit my targets as well (stationary targets, NOT moving)! I also had weapon (modern and ancient) trainings as well as some martial art trainings as well (outside of my formal Taiji and modern weapon trainings, the others were all very informal by my brother and friends), so I do know what you and I are talking about exactly.

Nice job with this. I was never too sure how the Chu-ko-nu actually fired, and this has given me a glimpse of how it works. I'm currently in the process of making a 6 foot long bow, so I'll post some pictures of it once I'm done. Oh, and what was the target you were firing at?
