I wonder when you get a BA in Sinology in a university, say, Australian National University, what ways would you get a job while waiting for studying your MA?

Thanks

You might be able to work as interpreter or translator. You can also work in government department of foreign affairs, which deals with China.

Because I was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne and messed up my foot, I was accepted into the Vocational Rehab program (Chapter 31) for injured vets. The point of the program is for vets to have an actual career and not just a job at the end of a 48 month period of training. Out of university or vocation training, I have chosen the university route with the hope of obtaining a BA in Chinese. I would like to continue on for a MA, but the program only allows me the four year period. So, I'm kind of in the same boat.

I have an actual job in mind with the C.I.A., but you are hired on ability. I'm sure others with M.A.'s or higher would have better mastery over the language. There is always free lance or commissioned translating.
