It's a not a German but Dutch site, although Dutch is historically a German dialect ultimately turning to a language of its own.

You can find English news at http://archeonet.nl/engels.php but the English section won't be updated anymore as the author explains in the introduction. However, the Dutch section continues to be updated.

I find the site very interesting. smile.gif

Does Yun automatically assume we understand Dutch? Perhaps many forum members have studied that language before...

I have read about the ballyhoo about find an ancient skeleton in Mongolia with blond hair.

Neanderthals lived in Mongolia, and Neanderthals are often portraited as having blond hair (e.g. see the Wikipedia artlicle on Neanderthals). Perhaps this skeleton belongs to a Neanderthal.

Often Dutch sites use English as the communication medium - so not necessary to understand Dutch.

During the 1990s, there was a major debate on the origin of the Modern Humans between the "Out of Africa" scientists and the "Regional Origin" scientists.

The OOA people claimed that all the important evolutionary human developments took place in Africa, then spread over the world.

The RO people claimed that the regional Homo Erectus people evolved into Modern Humans, in various regions.

During the past several years, the OOA and the RO people appear to have reconciled, to some extent:

1. The OOA people now reluctantly agree that there is "some" regional evolution of Regional Homo Erectus (e.g. East Asia), these regionally evolved advanced HE then interbred with the OOA Homo Sapiens to form the Regional people (e.g. East Asian Mongoloid).

2. The RO people still claim the regional Homo Erectus people evolved into advanced Homo Erectus people, then into Modern Humans, but the 2 out of Africa events were major events, and the OOA Homo Sapiens greatly added their genes into the genetic pool of the regional people (e.g. East Asian Mongoloid) by interbreeing with the advanced regional HEs.

So, we East Asian Mongoloid people descended from both the advanced Homo Erectus of East Asia and also from the OOA Homo Sapiens.

All of the above is recorded on the www.chineseprehistory.org website, including the article "Homo Erectus in East Asia: Human Ancestor or Evolutionary Dead-End?"

It is not nuclear science.
