The Peace Hotel is closed so I ended up staying at the Astor.

What is the standard of the hotel like these days?

Is it another Raffles, or something less upmarket?

Nothing liked the Raffles. Some guide book even listed it as a 3-star hotel. Actually, it even has a dorm so many backpackers use the hotel, but I did not see any backpackers when I stayed there.
