I have just recieved from an estate over 110 pieces of Celadon Porcelain the mark on the bottom denotes 51cm. Is there a site or a business which I can be referenced to in order to place a value for insurance purposes.

Thanks

As someone who has spent many years in the antique business (past tense), I would recommend one of the major auction houses like Sothebys or Christies, if you have access to them.

Make it clear that your enquiry is for insurance purposes and you don't want to sell your collection (at least yet). I believe there is a standard scale for insurance appraisal (yes it will cost you), but you might be able to negotiate a better price if you turn on the charm. The fee used to be based on the valuation, I mention this because if any of your Longquan celadon happens to be genuine 15th century and are nice forms, you might have a large bill to pay!

Many dealers offer a valuation service but you have to be very careful, they don't all have the morality of angels!!!
