I have long enjoyed Chinese paintings whether the very old works of Ku K’ai-chih (North and South Dynasties), the classic works of Fan K'uan (Northern Sung Dynasty) or the more recent output of Jen Hsiong (Ch'ing Dynasty).

I have especially enjoyed landscape paintings such as the one below by T'ang Yin (Ming Dynasty) which depicts a towering mountain in winter. Rarely has a painting ever made me feel so cold!

I like this one because the old man looks so happy! He must really hate playing the qin.
