The chap on the right is holding a two-pronged implement; is it an agricultural tool or a weapon?

Does it have a name? Does anyone out there have a clearer image of one?

Er, I don't have one, but I've seen it in a few Korean dramas.

I've just seen some Tibetan wargaming figures from Copplestone's 'Back of Beyond' Range, but the weapon seems to be an attachment to a musket/rifle g.gif

I think thats a halberd, similar to the one Lu Bu uses in the 3 Kingdom TV series.

And where's the propaganda pic of Tibet vs. intruding Chinese imperialists?

At least the British withdrew from Tibet and India, something which can't be said of the possessive PRC.

So those wargames figures (I admit not exactly a reliable, quotable source) are incorrect in having that particularly weapon attached almost as a bayonet?
Anthrophobia
Is this going to turn into a free tibet discussion? blink.gif

Some people are obviously trying to politicize this thread.

And so what? The placard is obviously a propaganda poster, so I can't see how one can talk about it in a depoliticed way in the first place. It's not we are talking about a Picasso, the artistic value of this work is approximately nil, it's propaganda from tip to toe and as such judged by me. biggrin.gif

The weapon is most probably not a pitchfork, but a halberd, as others have commented.

Some guy with a single sided halberd.
yehzhaofeng
I think its 2 speas. Look closer, i think its another spear from the background..

You are right. I guess this is CCP propaganda picture.

Tibetans did not fight that much at all
