Full Version: white people lived in gobi desert a long time ago?

once i was watching the discovery channel years ago and they were talking about a mysterious people who lived in the desertin china. unfortunately, i didn't care much about it and i just remembered now. after they found the corpses of these people they tested or analyzed them and w/e and said that they were white or caucasian. if that is true could these people have been aryans? they were a people who settled into what is today india/pakistan and it is believed that aryans were orginall from present day germany. any1 know anything?

They were Tocharians and they lived in the Tarim Basin. Most of them were forced out of the area by a Confederation of Mongols, sometime during the Han Dynasty, I think that was the one. The ones that left eventually got to Afganistan and started the Kushan Empire.

The specific desert is Taklamakan, not Gobi. But the two are near each other, and are sometimes referred to collectively as Gobi.
