Hello everybody I am new to this forum. I am going to make a jian out of a leaf spring and I have to know what kind of grind or cutting edge do chinese jians usually have?. Which one of these do they use? Please draw the cross section for me if it is not shown. Thank You

No absolutes, you can find all sorts. Just depends on the smith's preference, but I think that most you see are 1 and 2....at least typically shown.

Thanks every body. Were there any actual swords in China's history where they have a long hole in the middle of the blade like the one from the movie, Hero?

No.
That's actually not very good for your sword, you never want it o have a hole like that; it kinda compromises the structure, I think.
But of course, it looks cool, so it's bound to make it into Hero anyway...since Hero was a movie that only looked cool, but had no plot.
