With such a long history, i don't seem to recall any mention of any legendary weapons or famous weapons used by famous people. British had Excalibur, the sword of King Arthur.

If we are going to talk about stories or mythologies then sure Chinese have plenty

屠龙刀 Dragon Sabre

倚天劍 Heaven Sword

打狗棒Dog-beating Stick

and of course 'Guandao' 關刀 laugh.gif

from mythology we have weapons use by the Gods, too many to name.

could we begin talking about those then? I was just about to start a thread like that

I'd like to expand it to include armor of the gods, and other accessories

Like say, the iron fan that can blow away any fire.

Of course there's the dragon pillar used by Monkey King.

what other famous ones are there? Who used it (for what?) does it have any powers?
DaMo
Green Crescent?

I remember in one of the RTK games, there was something called "Qi Xing Jian"(7 star sword). I did a bit of googling and came across the names of "ZhanLu" and "YuChang" which used to belong to Gou Jian.

from what I think I know, 'seven star swords' were like a trademark during the Tang times?

Swords with the seven stars constellation on them.

Funny why it was mentioned in one of the RTK games when the "3 kingdoms period" was way before the Tang dynasty.

Most of the RTK games also have Song dynasty armour and weapons. I guess whatever makes the games look good helps you sell the games right ?

Kinda like how King Arthur and his knights ride around in full plate, when it wouldn't be invented for a few 100 years
